With well over 900 videos, VirtualRealPorn can genuinely call itself ‘World biggest VR porn site’. Started all the way back in 2014, this Spain based pioneer of the industry has a lot to offer.

Not only are they the largest adult VR site, they also were the first to launch separate sites for gay and transgender content, being VirtualRealGay and VirtualRealTrans. And in January this year they launched the first VR adult site for woman: VirtualRealPassion 

1. Video quality (7/10)

Being the first adult VR site means they should have had plenty of time to optimize their recording techniques to deliver the highest quality.

VirtualRealPorn offers their videos with a 180° field of view, 60 frames per second (50 fps for smartphone), binaural sound  and head tracking support. The video resolutions range from 3200 x 1600 for Oculus to 1920 x 1080 for GearVR and smartphones, which is a bit less then most other sites have. For GearVR it means that the 4k resolutions of the Samsung S8 and S9 phones are not fully used.

Sampling a large number of videos, we found that they were indeed not as sharp as we’ve seen elsewhere. But more importantly, on quite a number of videos we clearly noticed that the head tracking support did not prevent us from getting a bit dizzy. Watching hundreds of VR videos each month, motion sickness is not something we’re very sensitive to, so there are some latency issues here.

Also we found that on most videos the camera was not precisely at eye level, which made the models in the videos appear a bit larger and closer then they actually were.

So in short, although it’s far from the worst we’ve seen, we’re not overly enthusiastic about the quality VirtualRealPorn currently offers. They have to do some improving on this point, since viewing quality is a key element in any VR experience.

2. Production quality (9/10)

Did we already mention VirtualRealPorn was the first adult VR site on the web? We did, didn’t we. Well, they might still have some work to do on the image quality front, but production wise they’ve really nailed it!

Lack of variety in and between scenes is one of the inherent drawbacks of virtual porn. The actor always has a passive role (because you are him), so the action kind of gets restricted to positions and poses that support this and the girls need to do most of the work.

Knowing this, we applaud VirtualRealPorn for finding a way to add as much diversity as seems possible under these conditions. They really try to mix it up in terms of active/passive scenes, narrative, porn stars and we’ve seen a  lot more different positions then we’re used to.

The girls engage well with the camera and make you really feel like you’re part of the action. There’s a bit less talking and moaning than we’ve seen elsewhere, but -especially for the moaning part – that is really okay with us.

The video  duration varies between under 8 minutes and over 40 minutes. Some vids, especially the older ones area really a bit too short, but most are long enough to let you settle into the experience.

Sets and locations
As much variety there is within the scenes, there is with the locations and sets. Outdoors, indoors, pool side, school, locker room, gym, you name it, they have it. The sets are well chosen and feel as realistic as possible without drawing too much attention.

3. Collection quality (10/10)

Quiz: What’s the first and largest adult VR website on the Internet? That’s right, VirtualRealPorn. Their collection currently covers over 900 videos, which in – virtual reality terms – is a lot!

Every week 2 or 3 new videos are added, so they keep expanding their collection at a fast rate. We’ve already discussed how diverse the videos are and, looking on the video overview page, this quickly becomes clear. The large collection contains all the popular genres.

Models collection
Compared to the number of videos, VirtualRealPorn has nice variety of porn stars. There are about 460 female models on the site. Plenty to go around and it adds the benefit that if you like a girl there’s a good chance you’ll find more scenes with her in them.

The models are chosen carefully, making sure there’s enough variety. For instance, we haven’t seen this many interracial scenes on any other site out there. A lot of girls are from Europe and they’re relatively young, most of them in their early twenties. As always, it is a matter of taste, but we really appreciate the collection of models.

VirtualRealPorn doesn’t have an overview page with all the models displayed. It was one of the very few things we miss on their website.

4. Ease of access (9/10)

Apart from the (rather important) matter of viewing quality, so far we are quite enthusiastic about VirtualRealPorn. The website’s excellent usability even boosts our enthusiasm even further. The site scales well for mobile devices and is available in different languages.

The video overview offers an elaborate filtering system, that quickly enables you to sort and filter the videos on all sorts of characteristics, such as models, genre, type, compatibility, lengt, score, etc. The overview shows a single cover image for each video, but the covers are well designed and you can clearly see the models and get a good vibe of it’s contents.

The video page contains every bit of information you’ll possibly want. A clear cover image supported by various scene captures, an extensive synopsis, all the video specifications, and clickable genre tags. It also shows photos of the models, with links to their model pages.

The downloads are clearly shown for each device. For Oculus they provide the video in different resolutions. Download speeds are as good as they get, going over 16MB/s. A great and smart feature is that for each device, you can download a trailer of the scene, allowing you to sample the video before downloading the whole thing.

If VirtualRealPorn would add a model overview page and perhaps the video dates and ratings on the video overview, we’d have nothing more to ask for usability wise. Well.. maybe video streaming 😉

5. Value for the money (8/10)

Unlike many others, VirtualRealPorn is specialized in VR and does not have a network of regular adult sites. So, subscribing doesn’t get you any adult content other than their virtual reality videos. Not a bad deal, since you know… they are the biggest VR porn website out there.

VirtualRealPorn was the first to pair their scenes with interactive sex toys like the Lovesense and Kiiroo. For their gay and transgender content, you’ll need a special subscription. We doubt anyone would want access to both straight and gay content though, so we don’t see a problem there.

VirtualRealPorn’s marketing machine is running on full power, posting on their blog and various, active social media accounts. They have a decent support portal which covers most of the basic questions and helps with the device setup. They also have their own media player called VirtualRealPlayer for Android and iPhone. But it doesn’t really add anything that other VR player apps don’t have.

Subscriptions start at $21.95 per month. Often there is a special discount for the first month. Alternatively you can sign up for 3 months for $16.65 per month or 1 year for $10.00 a month.

Our verdict

VirtualRealPorn lives up to its status as one the founding fathers of adult VR. With an unparalleled video collection, hot models, superb web interface and high diversity, high quality content, you cannot go around them if you’re in the market for a VR porn supplier. Be sure to download some samples first to see if the latency issues bother you.
