VR Bangers

Virtual Reality Bangers is an adult VR production studio located in Southern California. VR Bangers was launched in januari 2016. The site is not part of any adult content network and focuses solely on virtual realty content.

It used to have a sister site called Virtual Reality Bang, which offered mostly 360° videos without 3D, but nowadays VR Bangers solely focuses on virtual reality content. A wise decision no doubt.

1. Video quality (8/10)

Nothing is more important than image quality when it comes to virtual reality. If the video isn’t sharp enough, the experience just doesn’t feel real. To judge how VR Bangers’ videos perform, we’ll start with the specifications.

At a first glance, there’s nothing wrong with the video properties. All videos are full stereoscopic 3D, provided in various resolutions depending on the device. With a 60 fps framerate and binaural audio, they totally meet the current standard.

VR Bangers specializes in 360° video, which can be both good and bad. Good because being able to look around all the way increases  the reality of the experience (and don’t worry, the male actor’s face is blurred out). Bad because it means there is a trade off in quality. The 360° videos look noticeably less sharp than their 180° counterparts. Fortunately in most cases, VR Bangers lets you chose which type you want to download.

Overall, we are quite positive about the image quality. Most of the scenes look sharp enough, especially the 180° videos and we didn’t spot any scaling issues or other common flaws.

2. Production quality (7/10)

Looking at the way the scenes are described and presented, it’s clear that VR Bangers pays a lot of attention to the story around the scene: A thief who made the (pleasurable) mistake of robbing a Dominatrix’s house, a Japanese waitress who serves you sushi along with ‘something special’ and a hot wife surprising you in bed with strawberries and whipped cream for your wedding anniversary. Imagine where the whipped cream goes…

We applaud these efforts, because virtual erotica should be more than just regular porn behind 3D glasses. Story is an important aspect of the whole experience and VR Bangers clearly gets this.

Looking closer and stepping into the scenes we still appreciate this, but are not totally convinced by the acting. The models are American and East European girls and especially with the latter there is very little dialogue. We understand that ‘porn’ is still the main product, but VR Bangers could do more to deliver the story they so appealingly presented on their website.

There is no camera movement and not much shifting of positions during the scenes. You (the male actor) mostly remain passive throughout the scene. This limits the variety in sex positions, so the action is pretty dry and the scenes seem somewhat repetitive.

The video length varies a lot at VR Bangers. Duration can be anything from 6 to 45 minutes. Unfortunately there are a lot of scenes in or below the 15 minute range, which really is too short for a proper virtual experience.

Sets and locations
In VR productions, the scenery is important and VR Bangers understood this well. The scenes take place in all sorts of different locations. We’ve seen the living room, kitchen, garden etc. of various luxury villas, swimming pools, a sauna, gym, squash court and even a forest. Well-chosen and tastefully decorated as they are, the sets add to the immersion of the experience.

3. Collection quality (8/10)

Right now, VR Bangers’ video collection contains over 700 videos and they’re expanding rapidly. Unfortunately, their update frequency recently dropped to just 1 new videos each week, so that’s a pitty.

All the videos are mainstream. You won’t find anything extreme here. There’s enough variation in the content though. Also, there’s a nice balance between solo and action scenes and we’ve spotted several group scenes and even some taken from a woman’s point of view.

Models collection
Currently their model page shows over 470 VR models. The models are very diverse. We’ve seen American, European and quite a lot of Asian girls in a variety of shapes and sizes. From Blondes and brunettes to exotic redheads and from dominatrices to cute teenage girls. You’re unlikely to be disappointed on this end.

4. Ease of access (9/10)

When you visit vrbangers.com, what you see is what you’ll get. The only difference when you login as a member is that you can download and stream the full videos. We appreciate the transparency and we like the site’s modern look. The site is fully responsive and is designed to work well with VR devices such as the the Quest, for those who prefer to stream the videos.

The videos are neatly listed on the site. They show high quality screenshots, a stream-able trailer and most important details such as video specs and run time. Last year they added the option to filter by genre, which is a must-have in our opinion, so well done there. The only things we’re missing are the videos’ release dates, but we’re okay with that.

They also have a page displaying all the models and the scenes they play in. Overall, the site is very user friendly.

VRBangers supports most but not all VR devices:

You can download the videos in different qualities and 180° or 360° (For instance ‘3D180 HQ’ or  ‘3D360 UHD’), but they don’t show specific download options for each device. Keep in mind that UHD files are only for Oculus and Vive and HD is meant for the GearVR.

Downloading the videos, we noticed that the speed was capped around 4-5 MB/s per download. However, downloading multiple videos simultaneously we reached our max. speed of 16 MB/s.

VR Bangers offers streaming via WebVR. Trying multiple videos, we found VR Bangers’ streaming to work relatively well. The player can’t fully keep up with the head tracking, so there is some lag when looking around, but not so much that it really bothers. Unfortunately the quality is somewhat lower than the downloadable videos. Even when set to highest quality, the best you’ll get is 1280×640 at 30 fps.

5. Value for the money (8/10)

VR Banger isn’t part of an adult content network, so when you subscribe you’ll get access solely to the videos on the website.

Unlike most, VR Bangers has an extensive Support section, where you’ll find answers to any questions you may have. They also provide email support. We’ve sent them an email and received a reply the same day.

Membership normally starts at $30 a month. The year subscription is priced at $100. VR Bangers often features holiday promotions, and for visitors from UltimateVRporn , they have a special price of just $15 per month, so be sure you click on on of our links to VR Bangers when visiting them.

Our verdict

We’re a fan of VR Bangers in the sense that we really like how they present the videos on the website and that they offer video streaming. The models are super hot, the image quality is good and the 700 videos are refreshing.  The scenes could be a little less passive and with more dialogue. But overall, for just $15 a month, VR Bangers is definitely worth checking out!
